The Living Years

I will try not to bore you with so much of my living memories. I was born in Spain in the 17th Century to a Spanish Lord and his Consort. I was the 4th of 5 children and barely legitimate. My earliest recollections were of my nurse. We lived in a small estate outside Madrid. I did what most children did, dressed in frilly clothes with lace and velvet. When I was old enough to read I was shipped off to my Uncle's estate in Southern France. I was facsinated by the French people and had to go through an adjustment period to get used to this new culture. I learned to speak french and my Uncle continued to teach me Spanish. When I finished my schooling I attended a French University and met Marie. We started seeing each other and fell in love. She was studying Art, which was the most popular subject. She taught me the most about the French people and the Culture. We went to the theater and the opera and concerts given by the greats. We fell deeper and deeper in love and started planning our marriage. Everthing was wonderful in my little world and I had no idea it was all about to end.......
